My ENTIRE thing is, it's difficult to raise money with these schedules.
You can believe that. OR NOT. Alls I know is donation levels for almost every Hokie I know has quite a bit to do with seat location and parking. Quality of home games in Lane Stadium are VERY important to fundraising and our home schedules have been horrible for years now.
Furthermore, the Texas and Oklahoma's have additional TV payouts that are worth millions, even tens of millions. Clemson and FSU do not have those options.
So, kudos, you've just proven a couple of my points.
1) Despite its inherent disadvantages, the Big12 is just as profitable, even more profitable, a league as the ACC. That's a travesty.
2) WVU is a well funded/well supported program that the ACC foolishly passed up in order to add inferior programs in Cuse, Pitt, BC.
Thanks, YOU'VE been a great addition to my research team.
Now, get to looking up the more recent financials on those teams/programs. Snap Snap.
