I don't expect Mizzou to switch to the B1G and here's why.

1) Recruiting. When Mizzou was in the Big 12 their main recruiting ground was Texas. When Mizzou switched to the SEC the Texas recruiting ground became tenuous. Thus, Mizzou put more effort into establishing Georgia and Florida connections. Thus, Mizzou now has two states to look for hidden gems instead of just Texas. Also, with A&M being in the SEC, Mizzou still has at least some link to Texas recruiting. If Mizzou would switch to the B1G, Mizzou would have to start all over again trying to gain traction in Chicago, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania. These recruiting areas have less talent and are already heavily saturated with other schools. It would set Mizzou back greatly in recruiting to switch.

2) East division. As oxymoronic as it sounds, (and only due to all the states claiming a portion of the Mississippi River), Mizzou actually has 3 schools from border states in the division compared to only 1 in the west. That means half of the divisional foes are from border states. This makes for 3 easy road trips for the Eastern half of Missouri. Also, the other columbia is no further away than A&M. The only long distance trips are to UGA and UF. Those are not bad destinations to have long road trips. Also the distances to the Mississippi schools, the Alabama schools and LSU make the two divisions similar in total travel miles. Being in the SEC east is not the burden that most people expect.

3) Pods. The potential for pods being formed in the next wave of expansion could lead to a pod of Mizzou, Vandy, UT and UK. That is a winnable pod and you may still have some connections to GA, FL and TX.

4) Research. Although the B1G has the CIC, the SEC has attempted to promote its research credentials too. With UF, A&M and Vandy, MIzzou is one of the better research universities in the SEC. That also is not a bad position.

Thus, why switch? Just set up an OOC game for B1G opponents.
