They have plenty of guaranteed money to cover that amount. PLENTY.

They have FAR more guaranteed money in their future than VT, or even Clemson or FSU. They are bringing in $50 million/year on TV and bowls alone beginning next year.

Additionally, Their apparel deal is worth $170 million and they have the largest stadium, which allows for tens of millions of dollars per game.

It is absolutely feasible for them to owe that much money. It's most definitely been worth it for them to upgrade their facilities and coaching. It has worked even better than expected as last years rankings and recruiting has proven.

The folks who need to be worried are the VT's of the world. We have to try to keep up with that Big Blue Machine. And our league isn't doing us any favors.
