What does 'networking' mean?

If you are trying to get a job, the Linkedin is okayish at best.

If you are trying to get a good job, then it is useless. Good jobs come from personal connections and having an 'in'. Whether that 'in' is reflected on Linkedin is immaterial. Good jobs go to people that you have a personal connection with and a history of trust in the workplace.
