Wasatch Mountains are beautiful. Snow on the peaks until June easy.

Nice and dry. Lots of stuff to do if you're outdoorsy. Those are the pluses.

On the minus side, there's less to do if you're not outdoorsy. If you're a drinker or a person who likes to go out, SLC probably won't be your bag. I was in Provo a couple of months ago. Took me a lot of driving just to find a restaurant that served beer. Ordered my beer, and the waiter asked me if I wanted a straw with it. I'm sure the kid was Mormon and he never drank, so it was a legit question, but just shows the cultural gap. Also, most beer is capped at 3.2% ABV. It's like drinking an O'Doul's.
