ND will have to make a decision if/when the day comes that

their only path to a CFB championship is through a conference (e.g. Four conference champions making up the CFB playoff). I think everyone on here is on the same page with that issue and has been for a long time. The question is whether or not that day will ever come...and if they would give up independence when that day came. I know Swarbrick has claimed they wouldn't...but I'm not sure I buy that.

This deal hasn't changed anything except locking in ND to the ACC longer if they decide to ever join a conference.
