We have a mockingbird problem Bachelor male with no female interest


sings all night. It sounds like he's sitting on the headboard in our bedroom. We can't locate his nest. We've looked through trees, read about his nesting habits, climbed up through the skylight to scour the roof. I am beginning to believe he has nested somewhere crazy like in a vent pipe that magnifies his caterwauling.

I wish some female mockingbird would take pity on us and bend over for him. Getting online and reading forums about these loud lousy birds only gets me touchy feely "learn to embrace and love the melodious sounds of the mockingbird's pleas for love". Screw that.

Stupid birds are protected by the MBTA too. As a person in the environmental industry, this is the first time I don't care. Surely by July, he will realize he needs to go, right?
