The really interesting thing in a model like this is what content they decide to put on it. I know some of us diehards would pay to watch non-revenue sports, but that isn't going to move the needle at all in terms of overall subscriptions. Especially given that the cord-cutting trend tends to fall overwhelmingly within the millennials. How many 25 year-olds do you know would pay $5/mo to watch college baseball, softball, soccer, etc?

In other words, they aren't going to be able to get away with what the SEC network does by putting one good college football game on a year to keep the pressure on the cable operators to keep the channel. They are going to have to load the thing up with good content or they won't sell any subscriptions, IMO.
