Hiked here Wednesday & Thursday

A bud picked up a book on hikes in the Shenandoah, and selected the overnighter to hike the Knob Mt. trail down to the bottom, then hike the Jeremy's Run Trail back to the top. Nice place to hike, except the Jeremy's Run Trail crosses that stream multiple times. I think I counted 16 crossings of the main stream, and 8 crossings of large tributaries into it. Boots went underwater crossing 75% of these streams, so we had to hike in wet boots on day two....thankfully that was only a little over 5 miles.

My clothing was treated with Permethrin, and I saw first hand how well it works. I only found one tick on me during the two days, but my bud attracted over 20 ticks. I'm sold on Permethrin!
