I agree with you. But the ACC has done it before.

The ACC held its baseball tournament in Greenville, SC for years and years. It was a great event there. But then they banned having events in South Carolina because of the Confederate Flag on the state house in Columbia.

So this league tends to want to be "Politically Correct". We'll see what happens. Charlotte has been a great venue for the ACC Football Championship.
