Oh, and regarding "lost a year of eligibility"...


The eligibility loss was due to a combination of the non-waiver and the fact that they had already redshirted their first year at VT. Transferring athletes ineligible for waivers (like pretty much all football and MBB players) can use their redshirt in the year they sit out.

From OSU's site, it appears that Blees has already used his redshirt and that he would be a r-Sophomore next year (with 3 years of eligibility left).
