Thought of those.


It certainly would be the 10 day paternity for the lesbian partner. Part of the reason for the 20 days for a mother is in part physical recovery. For the same reason I would give any employee, single, married, gay or straight 10 days if their family has an adoption. If it's arranged at birth it would be from the first day they get the child or at birth if they are in concurrent custody with the birth mother. If it's the adoption of an older child then I would let them use the ten days before or after the "gotcha" day. Some people have to fly to other countries and stay a few days, etc. I think those problems are pretty easily solved.
