Why do you feel wrong?


I see no problem with it. You're helping a friend get a job. You'd help them whether you got a bonus or not. And once they're hired- they probably learn of the referral bonus too- and will try to refer people as well. It's not like you're hiding this super secret or that your bonus means less out of their pockets


And if you happened to refer a super hottie that a friend of a friend knew and was looking and you just got their resume through email- it's a perfect excuse to say "hey listen- I get a pretty big bonus for you coming on, let me take you out to dinner to say congratulations and welcome to the family"
