Oh, I don't disagree. But it is the only current measuring stick...


I know of which is doing what it is attempting to do.

I definitely think the points awarded for each sport should be weighted in some fashion. Maybe factor in the number of scholarships that can be awarded in the sport, and also the number of colleges that participate in the sport at the D-I level.

I also don't like the number of points that are awarded for the placings. I think higher finishes should be rewarded with more points.

I suspect those who created this measuring system were not from the football, basketball world.

Would be great if an alternative ranking system were established.
