Pro golf watch 3/31 - 4/3

PGA Tour is in Texas for the Shell Houston Open. A timely event for both Hokies on Tour, as they both could use a little run of good form and they have both had some decent success at the Golf Club of Houston in the past.

Wagner has 3 top 10s in this event, including his first win on Tour in 2008 and a loss in a playoff last year. BDJ has 2 top 10s here, including a T5 last year, and has made 4 straight cuts in the event. BDJ and JW are now sitting in 123rd and 135th on the FedEx Cup Standings.

Drew Weaver will be teeing it up this week on the Web.com Tour down in Sao Paulo, Brazil. A big opportunity for him in his first chance on the WCT this season. TBD if he'll make the field at next week's event in Colombia, but a top 25 this week will ensure that he does get in. A top 15 would be huge in terms of positioning on the moneylist where he would likely make some more fields after the 1st or 2nd reshuffle. The 1st exemption list reshuffle is after next week's event.

Go Hokies!
