The Saturday night Championship really gave it a boost.
DC was a great place to have it, and I think Brooklyn will be too. But the biggest boost came from a Saturday night championship rather than Sunday afternoon. The ACC should have done this a long time ago, but ESPN pushing the Big East then was in the way before.
I like the idea of rotating it around. One thing that Greensboro offers is the whole town getting involved and rolling out the red carpet. Having the ACC tournament there brings all the tailgating, carnival tents, etc. around the arena like being at a SEC football game. There is something to be said for that, and it can't be replicated in a big city.
So let's move it around. DC should be a regular stop. We should have it in Philadelphia too. That Xfinity Center near the South Philadelphia athletic complexes is a lot of fun. They can replicate the tailgating. [Post edited by HOO86 at 03/21/2016 12:57PM]
