I had posted an earlier (non-final) update below on the Big10-ACC softball challenge this weekend, but with all the excitement surrounding a GREAT wresting performance, it got shuffled down the page. Just in case anyone is interested, I thought I would post the final results.

Overall, ACC teams went 12-20 for the weekend, led (believe it or not) by Syracuse, which went 3-1, including an impressive sweep of Ohio State. Four teams, including Top 10 FSU, went 2-2, and the two Techs went winless over the 4 games.

Louisville 2 - 2 (2-0 vs. WIS, 0-2 vs. NEB)
NC State 2 - 2 (1-1 vs. WIS, 1-1 vs. NEB)

UNC 2 - 2 (1-1 vs. NW, 1-1 vs. ILL)
BC 1 - 3 (1-1 vs. NW, 0-2 vs. ILL)

SYR 3 - 1 (1-1 vs. PUR, 2-0 vs. OHIO ST)
GT 0 - 4 (0-2 vs. PUR, 0-2 vs. OHIO ST)

FSU 2 - 2 (0-2 vs. MICH, 2-0 vs. MINN)
VT 0 - 4 (0-2 vs. MICH, 0-2 vs. MINN)

It was certainly a disappointing weekend for the Hokies, but it's a long season, so hopefully these games will make them stronger long term. It will certainly help on the RPI front since Michigan was ranked #2 and Minnesota was ranked #18.
