This issue of having to have expensive travel out of town twice for the fans and even for the teams is a burden. He must have been reading this board last week when this was debated. The Playoffs coexisting with the bowls will develop as an issue. He even brought up that the NFL doesn't even make its teams travel for playoffs other than the Super Bowl.

There are some other interesting tidbits here. The ratings for the Championship were down last night from last year. One reporter thinks it's Alabama fatigue. I'm not sure that's the case. Then Stewart Mandel thinks we didn't really need a semifinal because Clemson and Alabama were so much better than everyone else. The BCS would have been fine this year.
