I don't think that it's Bama fatigue. It's likely the issue is


2 teams from the southeast playing. FSU-Auburn had similar numbers. Last year was a perfect storm with Ohio State against a west coast team. Maybe the CFP was successful because it was an east coast vs west coast in game 1 followed by 2 of college football's iconic programs and not the CFP itself.

I'd rather have the CFP 2 weeks after the conference championships and the national championship on January 1 and keep the bowls roughly the same. Just cut at least 10 of them.
