One thing to consider is the states enacted their own rules regarding NIL and few were consistent in their approach to the issue, and some didn’t want to deal with it at all. Thus, the NCAA wants the feds to intervene and enact a national law regarding the matter. Well, we all know that when the feds get involved in something like this a 💩 show results which often results in a larger mess. I’m not sure there’s enough competence at the federal level to adequately deal with the matter anyway.

The kicking the can down the road was the admission by the NCAA that it couldn’t handle the issue. Now it’s a free for all that will have to run its course and basically implode to get resolved.
