For the structure of college football to remain as it has been up until to the past few years, some governing body besides the current NCAA does actually need to put the genie back in the lamp. Some group has to say something like this: You get to keep your NIL deals if you have them already, but going forward effective on whatever date, no college athlete can receive more than $50k annually from an NIL deal, and all athletes must receive $5k minimum from either an NIL deal or from the university directly as independent contractors, not school employees.

Don't like the amounts? Fine, devise and adjust any way you want. But put a system in place tomorrow that keeps college sports as college sports.
