Are NoVA real estate $$’s REALLY this outta whack?

My family spent the three years I was in high school in this house in Arlington. That was from 1963 to 1966. The house was built in 1951. My dad paid a fellow Army officer who owned it $145/month rent (the Army rental allowance max).
No wonder refugees from that cesspool find our $380K homes so attractive!
