A little more color
Ace - He actually approached me and asked if I was having a good time. I did not recognize him and after a short conversation shook and gave my name and he replied with "Ace". I immediately went in to fanboy mode and shared watching the 95 NIT championships live in NY with my wife and 2 work friends that went to Marquette and Penn State. We spoke for over 5 minutes understanding that Catoor and recruit and probably other ballers were in the bar. He wears really nice shirts btw.
Did not spend much time with the Edmond brothers as they had bigger fish to fry. Just order drinks for my crew with them beside them. Must say Tremaine is a very large human being. Mom as I said is delightful and spoke with her a few times during the night. Did spent some time with their videographer which I guess is a full time job. Nice kid but evidently I was messing with a shot while ordering my Makers.
Pry and Price - Whats not to say but they are good. My daugther got pictures with both, I said something probably stupid, and they both replied thanking me. I did not stalk them but physically ran in to them as I was leaving and they were coming in.
Hunter and recruit - Best part of the night. I did actually approach him when ordering a round (which I do not do for the obviois reasons) and thanked him for giving a long suffering VT loving but NC living person happyness. His reply was simply to thank me for the support, and he meant it. Hard to condense 2-3 minutes in to a sentence but yes, he is a great Hokie. .
Realy the best night was an hour at the hotel bar speaking with the 4/16 survivor. 5 were killed in her room including the professor. She hid behind her desk and protectoed her head with her hands which got hit, still cannot move some fingers. The great point was she was there with a couple of her kids, both planning to be Hokies. Think about that for a moment.
Go Hokies!
