The ALC split off last year since the SELC was just a giant conference


I think before the spilt it was at 20 teams in 4 divisions from DC to Alabama.
The two northern divisions basically split off (-GW +Pitt).

While in the world of P5 conferences that might not sound like a big geographically area, for teams where the players have to fund travel themselves, it means a lot of time and money spent on buses.

I do miss those rivalries with some of the Florida schools
