The US Open Cup is a fun diversion, but it's got a long way to go before it's anything remotely akin to the FA Cup.

I'd also offer that there isn't as huge of a gap between MLS and the USL leagues in terms of talent as what exists within other national associations. A lower division team that has good chemistry can often challenge a team with "better talent" in this sport. And to that point I wouldn't be extremely shocked to see the Crown lose in the next round against Richmond Kickers.

I may be the only person who feels this way, but I'd really like to see USSF adopt a promotion/relegation system for its competition pyramid. Things could get really interesting under that kind of arrangement.
