Will get to the rest this evening:
-Bryce is out of the open unfortunately, but plans to use his final 2 yrs of eligibility.
-Mekhi is focusing on finishing the semester strong and folk style this summer in hopes of getting back on top next year. His plans are year to year, and of course we will do everything in our power to make that happen!
-There hasn't been any talks as of yet for a women's program in Blacksburg, but it could be the future of college wrestling very quickly.
-The Transfer Portal is fluid situation, and we have picked up a commitment from there recently.
-We technically can not help our guys get NIL deals, but I would imagine there are some poster ideas coming down the pipeline. I believe that was all Tech Sideline people that helped make the Mutts thing come to fruition, the more we can get our supporters, boosters and alumni involved the better for everyone. I will try and find the correct website to go to in order to help our student athletes on the NIL front.
-I believe the uncertainty of it being Hunters final run may have hurt him a little bit, this next year he has decided to give a new found focus in closing his career out the right way!
-I pride myself on seeing the little stuff during matches, but unfortunately Mekhi and Starocci were on the other side of the mat when the "still framed" shot was taken, so I can't say one way or another. It was a great match and we came up on the short end, Mekhi will bust his butt to try and make this right next year.
