VT WBB picks up transfer from BC, 6’3” C Clara Ford (Vienna, Va.)


She’s got one year of eligibility thanks to COVID. She averaged 5 points and 5.6 rebounds in 2020-21 at BC. Hokies now have five scholarships open for 2022-23.

Ford started 17 of 19 games for BC in 2020-21 but while she played in more games (30) in 2021-22, her numbers fell. 17.6 minutes to 6.1, 5.0 points to 2.2, 5.6 rebounds to 1.3.

She’ll be a solid backup for ACC Player of the Year Elizabeth Kitley at the five.
