But I was thinking that with all the amazing success the team has had playing nothing but away games for the last month, then coming home with the lofty ranking and with high expectations, and wanting to play well in front of the fans at TSP, maybe the girls were putting extra pressure on themselves to live up to their current billing as one of the top 2 or 3 teams in the country. That could be one reason both pitching and hitting struggled over the weekend against a relatively weak UVA squad. I'm sure other factors come into play like all the travel, but this could be an issue too. If so, hopefully the remaining home-heavy schedule will give them plenty of time to adjust before the NCAAs which we're hoping will all be played at TSP. Just a thought ....
