It was huge......and today we saw why they were number 2. If you are .....

behind in the late innings against UM, they are darn near impossible to beat. That is what we avoided in games one and two, and kept them off the mound. Their entire staff today went anywhere from 95-98 on the gun, but their closer who is the one that hit 98, has not given up a run all year. I didn't say an earned run, I am talking about a run (in any shape). He has now thrown somewhere near 22 innings and no runs and 12 saves. High level closer, but the three others just had electric arms, as well. Still, we had some balls that were hit hard and right at people (and had a really tough call on the play at the plate where Biddison scored but was called out). Credit Miami today, they scored 7 of their 8 runs with two outs, and basically had two big (two out) hits that scored the majority of those runs....we really didn't pitch poorly at all today, so it wasn't a case of "giving" the game away.

BC next weekend will be another huge series. Cannot be fooled by the record, and if we want to keep momentum going, we can't be sloppy up there and give back some of our big wins. We are up to 25 in the RPI, with lots of good wins. Gotta stay focused on next week. I think that will be the series that sets us up for postseason or not.....
