Particularly interesting to me were his comments about the finances of recruiting and scholarships. There has been confusion here over exactly how the whole in-state tuition for athletes in NC works...even he isn't sure. I suspect that means it's only a thing for full scholarship athletes.

Also, the comments about institutional aid were interesting. It's clear that other institutions with more to offer in that arena have an advantage, but I was not aware of any somewhat recent rule change that enabled it as he indicated. Anyone know more about that supposed change that allowed institutional aid on top of athletic scholarship when it wasn't allowed prior?
