Short answer No

Other than the prying eyes and focus on softball once every game is on TV, that might bring focus. But never ever heard of a re-emphasis on a rule mid season since I’ve heavily been in the game and that dates back to 2002/2005.

Announcers will probably just say it needs to be addressed this off-season, sorta like the scheduling changes to the WCWS. Then it’s up to the rules committee.
