The rule came out of pitchers launching theirselves towards the batter


During which both feet were off the ground .... sometimes this technique would result in the pitcher and/or ball leaving the pitchers hand 10 or more feet from the pitchers starting point on the bump .... requiring that one foot must never lose contact with the field curtailed this .... Emma will be fine 🙂
