Extremely well said 133182Hokie!

The thing that impresses me the most is what Coach Pete has called their "resiliency." We get ahead, other team comes back to get ahead, then we blast them to kingdom come. It's every team, every series.

Like the Saturday game against FSU. They come back to make it 11-9. Yes, I was concerned, but said, "Hey, the gals know how to put 11 on the board, they are smart and won't forget, so they'll put some more up." Did they ever! Posted another 12!

I wish every Hokie team would learn from these ladies.

So anyone on the softball team, if you happen to read this, we all love you, wish we could give each of you a big hug and thank you for giving us a great, great spring of watching you play!

(And as others have confessed, I too am long down life's road, just inducted into Cornerstone Alumni, Class of '71.)
