As you said it's subjective. I always turned to my right too, but as long


as you don't turn too far left towards 2nd base it's usually not called......but it is a call that some umpires may make and others may not for the same turn. I always did it to the right to take any subjectivity out of it. I've always heard as long as you don't make a running move towards second base it would never be called, even if you turn left.
