Beating the "crow hopping" horse some more

I am still so new to this softball thing and trying to learn so much about the game. Of course, I, like a lot of new fans here, are trying to figure out what constitutes an "illegal pitch" I found this video on youtube where a guy distinguishes "leaping" vs "crow hopping" and demonstrates the difference so I think I conceptually understand it (but probably wouldn't be able to distinguish one vs the other real time in a game at this point!). Question I have, and forgive me if it has been addressed here already - are BOTH leaping AND crow hopping illegal at this point in the NCAA or is it just crow hopping that is banned?

Leap is legal at some levels, but not college. -- HokieJack 04/10/2022 6:52PM
