I think Pete formally protested the game. After getting tossed he went to


the home plate ump and had a conversation (it was the 3B ump that was making the calls and who tossed him). I believe protests have to be made directly to the home plate ump in any game. We all know it won’t amount to a hill of beans but you might as well make it formal so it’s in the books somewhere.
