We had a weiner that past while I was deployed to a plant.

My wife had to deal with that on her own. He was 6 and had a spinal stroke. He was her baby and we got him after a really rough miscarriage where we lost twins.

The two dogs were tight. This one was never the same after he died. My soon to be 8 year old is mildly allergic to pet dander so we opted to not get another and give this one some space in the basement away from the him. We used to put her outside in a nice cozy run area with toys, etc., but after the other pup died she wouldn't have it.
