instead of the original post. I made the rare move to respond to a moronic post on the Baseball board this past weekend. Addressing similar types of comments, only difference this was after a road win against Carolina. Not sure it even makes sense to respond to these anymore as it confirms that some people just are never going to understand. After being close to college athletics for a long time, the expectation of perfection has gone off the deep end. The thought of losing to a ranked opponent on the road (after winning 2 of 3) shows some folks don't understand just how hard it is to win at the high major level in college athletics. To call that a bad loss confirms this poster does not get it. To play/compete night in, and night out, at an impeccable level of performance for college aged kids is borderline impossible. Furthermore, programs that compete in softball and baseball will always have an off night, run into a hot pitcher, hit hard balls right at people, etc., etc. etc. Its a shame to have to explain that sort of thing to people.......just unfortunate the level of expectation being pushed these days on elite teams......
