Proved a few things. First UCONN has be caught and some are simply better. The inside game last night was all Gamecocks. So much Fudd and Beckler(spelling) were (wo)manhandled out front. Last night's game was not close I am not sure Louisville was not the second best team.

It also proved this. Kenny has done much better job as D'berger/Wolfe. He still is not in same stratosphere as the elite women team. Especially teams big and very athletic. We are what we are. I am not sure what the Babcock goal is for VT WBB. If it is to be next level. Time to see more elevation of player talent. Rebounding and overall D is weak for VT. Creating shots against the elite teams is issue for VT. Some say KB could improve his offense thinking. I say upgrade.

In reality, VT Wbb has much to be proud of under Brooks. Watching teams play late into March Madness is very entertaining. This goes for both men and women.

The ACC gives you every opportunity to strive in basketball. Hopefully in years to come we make a special run in NCAA Tournament. You do not have to win it all. You have to make some noise. Do something that validates you are for real. Who knows? You may just elevate more. The men did something special but faltered in NCAA's(Texas was tough draw). We have to make a run. The ladies need to finally play like they belong. Have some swagger when going gets tough. The men did In Brooklyn. The ladies need something. A Emily Engstler type talent that wills you to the next level. A talent that makes Liz job so much easier. A talent that takes care of the dirty work. Hopefully Brooks see this. The 4/Big 3 position was very weak for VT season past. Baines the roll player should not be much a loss if we recruit it right. Liz can only do so much. Give her help and the team next year could be real good.

3 talented wings coming in. One with opportunity to play bigger. That is a start. Make no bones about it we need size and we need that size to have skills/athleticism. Someone that sees a rebound as cherished.
