There are now over 1000 players in the portal, only 358 D1 teams

Don't envy coaches trying to manage rosters, we're definitely at a point where a guy like Steve Forbes will probably stop recruiting high players at all.

No point in picking up unproven players when you can see them at the collegiate level for a year for free.

Really sucks for the HS kids, scholarships are really just a 1 year tryout if you're lucky enough to receive one.
