And how does using Russian, Venezuelan, or OPEC oil instead of ...


American oil help the climate? The answer is ... it doesn't. It just makes it more expensive for Americans and it gives a talking point that they are reducing oil production to help the climate. There is absolutely no logic behind any of it. I saw executives from Shell and Exxon Mobil who both said if the restrictions were loosened/lifted, they could easily solve the supply problem within weeks/months. This is a self-inflicted wound.
