Oh 1000% agree...I just remember the middle school jokes going around,


which I doubt were made by middle schoolers (but adults / parents, etc..) and repeated at school.

My kids are making jokes about it (the slap), they have no idea what actually happened, no real understanding of the context, and when I questioned them, it reminded me of that 'cringey' period of my youth...

Was commenting more on all of the kids posting on social media their reaction - I only frequent adult-oriented sites like TSL, Reddit, CNN / Fox News, Yahoo News and this dude's blog from Walla Walla Washington. TIC
