Challenger and the Slap aren’t comparable. BTW - I was in my last week of

Aviation Officer Candidate School the week before getting my Commission in the Navy. That week I was responsible for leading at team to raise and lower the base flag at NAS Pensacola, including half mast after the accident. A picture made the Gannett news service.
