This is Arthur's dad and thanks for the post!


We're lifelong Hokies, I'm a 2x Hokie, wife is a grad student and grew up in Salem coming to games. This interaction happened just like Chip described, no approach from us someone from the dugout saw Arthur and came over. Needless to say they have fans for life! Arthur refers to them as his "big sisters."

Coach Pete, Bill Old, and all of the players have just been awesome with this, so gracious. We've been following the team for some time but are now fully invested. We appreciate the inclusion and humbled by it, and happy to share the story with TSL.
