One thing that always bothered me about country music stars from that era..


...was they concentrated on performing ballads. We're taking about some of the greatest musicians, not only of that era, but of all time. Unfortunately they didn't do nearly as much that demonstrated their abilities as they should have IMHO.

I'm talking about Glen, Chet Atkins, Roy Clark, Jerry Reed, as well as a few others. The only time you're able to find them really demonstrating their talent is on (usually) obscure YouTube videos, and that's a shame.

Speaking of musicians who seem to think they'll be more successful playing ballads than letting it rip, I fear Molly will also fall into that trap. If you've ever heard her perform it against it's original performer, Townes Van Zant, it's no contest. Molly just crushes it!
