I handled a boat insurance claim once involving a death. Boat on the intra-


coastal waterway down in Va Beach completely T-boned and cut in half a boat anchored in the middle of the night. On the North Landing River beneath the North Landing Bridge.

It was a mess. It was claimed the anchored boat was in the direct waterway.
All parties were drunk.
Maritime law kicks in when it occurs on navigable waters, which was interesting.

I don't remember how we settled it.
