I’d have to imagine the relievers are getting a little more comfortable now that they have more games under their belt. More importantly and to your point, I’d like to think that Coach Fecteau has more experience on how to handle the bullpen, including which relievers to bring in under certain situations. I’m sure he learned some lessons after the 2nd half collapse last year. Not to put the blame entirely on him, because the kids still need to perform at the end of the day. However, the success of the pitching rotation, including the relievers, will ultimately fall on Fecteau’s shoulders and if the pitching doesn’t improve this year compared to last year, then Coach Szefc is going to have some difficult decisions to make at the end of the season…
