Mine gets 380 max. When you start every AM with a full tank
you think about range differently. It is not nearly as big of a deal for me as I assumed it would be.
I don't get max theoretical range because:
-I only charge to 90% unless I'm taking a long trip.
-I enjoy the acceleration and that reduces range.
-There are ~10 days a year in NOVA when temps get low enough to materially reduce range.
Lucid has cars that can go ~500 miles. Elon doesn't plan to match that b/c people so rarely require > 350/charge and he doesn't want to sacrifice weight/acceleration for range.
If you live in an apartment or somewhere where you can't charge overnight at home, I think the range thing would be a massive headache, otherwise it's seldom an issue.
Gen 3+ charges are now getting 1000 miles/hour, with Gen 4 charges coming soon. Few cars have battery management to sustain that charge rate for very long though, but I assume they'll get that to parity with filling up at a gas station very soon.
