If the program continues in the right direction under CMY, then the demand
for tickets could increase. Now it probably won't increase to around 15k unless the NRV/Roanoke area sees an increase in alumni/fans. Assuming the final product looks very similar to the full renovation proposal, it will be interesting to see what direction the Athletic Department goes in to address the increase in the demand for men's basketball. The increase is probably not enough to justify building a new Cassell 2.0 especially after all the money VT is spending on this full renovation project. So does VT ignore the increase in demand and potentially lose out on the additional revenue or does it look at ways to increase the capacity (i.e., remove the roof to add more seats towards the top and install a brand new roof that is higher than the current location)?
