Duke had great teams before K got there. Duke was no. 3 team when I was just starting to play youth basketball. That’s about the same time frame my dad was taking me to watch Howard Pardue shoot lights out from long range in brand new Cassell before seats were even installed and we sat on concrete to watch.

Duke was Duke before K and will be after K. They don’t recruit players, they draft them. They have the tradition of Duke and have been Duke my entire life.
